Bruno, along with Adele and Kanye West are the top 3 nominees at the 2012 Grammy Awards. Bruno received 6 nominations including the top categories “Record Of The Year”, “Album of The Year” and “Song of the Year”. We can’t wait to see how everything turns out in February 2012!
Adele and Bruno Mars each nabbed nods in all three of the Grammys’ major categories as nominations were announced on Wednesday.
The two singers will compete for record, song and album of the year at the Feb. 12 bash, which announced its nominations with a splashy prime-time special.
For album of the year, Adele’s “21″ and Mars’ “Doo-Wops and Hooligans” will compete with Foo Fighters’ “Wasting Light,” Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way,” and Rihanna’s “Loud.”
Adele, the British crooner who took the charts by storm with her surprise hit “21,” was expected to feature heavily in the 54th instalment of the Grammys.
More surprising were the three major nominations for Wisconsin indie-folk outfit Bon Iver. The group, led by distinctive singer Justin Vernon, is up for song and record of the year as well as best new artist, a category that also features Nicki Minaj, the Band Perry, J. Cole and Skrillex.
Performances from Lady Gaga bookended the show, and the electro-pop oddball had other reasons to celebrate — her nod for album of the year marks the third straight year she’s been recognized in the category.
British folk band Mumford & Sons are also nominated for both song and record of the year, while other Grammy nominees include Katy Perry and Kanye West.
Last night, Bruno attended the Grammy Nominations Concert – where the biggest category nominees were announced. Bruno himself and on behalf on The Smeezingtons received a total of 6 nominations – truly amazing!
He also presented the nominees for “Best New Artist”.
