Bruno, along with Adele and Kanye West are the top 3 nominees at the 2012 Grammy Awards. Bruno received 6 nominations including the top categories “Record Of The Year”, “Album of The Year” and “Song of the Year”. We can’t wait to see how everything turns out in February 2012!
Adele and Bruno Mars each nabbed nods in all three of the Grammys’ major categories as nominations were announced on Wednesday.
The two singers will compete for record, song and album of the year at the Feb. 12 bash, which announced its nominations with a splashy prime-time special.
For album of the year, Adele’s “21″ and Mars’ “Doo-Wops and Hooligans” will compete with Foo Fighters’ “Wasting Light,” Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way,” and Rihanna’s “Loud.”
Adele, the British crooner who took the charts by storm with her surprise hit “21,” was expected to feature heavily in the 54th instalment of the Grammys.
More surprising were the three major nominations for Wisconsin indie-folk outfit Bon Iver. The group, led by distinctive singer Justin Vernon, is up for song and record of the year as well as best new artist, a category that also features Nicki Minaj, the Band Perry, J. Cole and Skrillex.
Performances from Lady Gaga bookended the show, and the electro-pop oddball had other reasons to celebrate — her nod for album of the year marks the third straight year she’s been recognized in the category.
British folk band Mumford & Sons are also nominated for both song and record of the year, while other Grammy nominees include Katy Perry and Kanye West.

The ‘It Will Rain’ star is a big fan of the latest installment of the vampire franchise.
The ‘Lazy Song’ singer, who has recorded a track for the official soundtrack, joked that he would rather support Kristen Stewart’s character over Team Edward and Team Jacob.
“How come I can’t be Team Bella? How come I’ve got to be the werewolf or the glitter guy?” he said.
Bruno then laughed and failed to answer when asked if he thought Bella was a tease.
Speaking to Capital FM’s Rich Clarke, the singer revealed that he had seen 25 minutes of the forthcoming Twilight film.
“I think it’s going to be really cool. The stuff that I saw was very interesting. I was laughing. They shot some cool stuff in some cool locations,” he said.
Bruno has recorded the song ‘It Will Rain’ for the new movie, which premieres in the UK tonight (16th November).
The Robert Pattinson-starring film goes on general release from 18th November.

Bruno Mars has revealed that watching scenes from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 inspired him to finish writing ‘It Will Rain’.
Mars called into Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS FM radio program to discuss ‘It Will Rain’, which will appear on Breaking Dawn’s soundtrack.
The singer hinted that ‘It Will Rain’ might also feature in one of the movie’s most pivotal scenes.
Mars said: “I started writing ['It Will Rain'] a little bit on tour. I was just writing to write. I had my guitar with me on tour when I was in the States. I never finished it.
“The opportunity came up to go see some scenes in Breaking Dawn. When I saw a couple of the scenes I was like ‘That song I started might be perfect for this’… I’ve seen a couple of things. I might have seen them get married.”
The music video for ‘It Will Rain’ was to premiere in late October, but the clip’s debut was later pushed back.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, which also features tracks by Christina Perri and Iron & Wine, is now available in the UK and is released on Tuesday (November in the US.
Breaking Dawn – Part 1 is released in cinemas worldwide from November 18.

Not great news Hooligans. MTV has announced that Bruno’s new music video for “It Will Rain” will be pushed back a few weeks and Bruno himself also added on twitter that he is still currently working on the video.
All great things to come in time!
Bad news, Twilighters: You’re going to have to wait a little longer for the video for Bruno Mars’ “It Will Rain,” the first single from the “Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ soundtrack.
Originally, the clip was set to premiere Wednesday night on MTV — with a special live-stream event to follow on MTV.com — but those plans have been put on hold for the foreseeable future because the video isn’t finished just yet.
Mars himself took to Twitter on Monday (October 24) to break the news about the “Rain” delay and to beg forgiveness from all the “Twilight” fans out there.
“Hey guys, I’m still working on the ‘It Will Rain’ video,” Mars wrote. “The MTV premiere will happen in a couple weeks. Be patient for ya boy. Love y’all.”
A spokesperson for Mars’ label, Atlantic Records, could not be reached for comment on the delay, and while the news is sure to disappoint “Twilight” folks, there is a new development that will surely help soften the blow: Even though “Rain” has been pushed back, there will still be a “Breaking Dawn” video premiering Wednesday for Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years,” a song she told MTV News she wrote specifically for the film’s star-crossed protagonists, Bella and Edward.
So fret not, “Twilight” fans. You’ll still get your fix Wednesday, October 26, when Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” video premieres at 6 a.m. ET/PT on AMTV, MTV Hits and MTV.com. And as soon as we get an update on “It Will Rain,” you’ll be the first to know about it, we promise.
